Service Area.  ANDA serves the Argentine neighborhood in Kansas City, Kansas, from the southern boundary of the BNSF railroad south to Steele Road and from I-635 on the west to 18th Street on the east, as well as an area from the southern boundary of the BNSF railroad south to Ruby Avenue and from 18th Street on the west to 7th Street on the east.  No other community development corporation (“CDC”) is providing housing in ANDA’s Service Area.  ANDA seeks to fill this gap by bringing appropriate housing opportunities to its service area.

Activities.  Our activities include mostly housing, with some energy directed toward community organizing and economic development.  These strategies were chosen to dovetail with the work being done by local government and other agencies and to build on the neighborhood strengths that are already present.  ANDA believes this strategy will improve the quality of life for Argentine residents of all income levels.
