Argentine Neighborhood Empowerment Financing

ANDA Board Memebers at ANEF House
The ANDA Executive Director, Ann Brandau Murguia, and the Board of Directors Henry Sandate,
Steve Knight, Sally Murguia, Mario Escobar, and John “Pete” Peterson and the buyers of the home
through ANDA's Argentine's Neighborhood Empowerment Financing “ANEF” program,
Gonzalo and Jennifer Rivera and their children.

The ANEF program will raise funds to build new residential homes with no or small debt commitments. This program will provide lease-to-purchase opportunities for quality, affordable, single-family housing. An application process will be managed with oversight from the Board of Directors. Home buyer education and minor home repairs will be written into the lease for up to 10 years. There is no government subsidy for these houses and there are no low income requirements for the buyer.

The first house leased for purchase in the ANEF program was a four bedroom house that was built for ANDA by Brown Midwest and completed in December 2007. In the spring of 2008 the house was purchased by a family of six. Photos of the home and the home buyers with ANDA board members are included. We are receiving applications from other interested families and preparing to build more affordable homes.
